The story behind why we exist
We love the idea of fully integrated systems — software that shares the same visual identity and the same way of being used, so you don't have to get used to a different platform every time you switch tools.
There are many great open-source systems out there, but none of them really talk to each other. They look different, they're structured differently, and they're built by different companies and people. The individual projects are excellent — but assembling them into a stack takes a long time to learn and even longer to manage.
Even inside a closed ecosystem like Microsoft 365 things are far from consistent. Anyone who has spent time in the Microsoft admin center knows exactly what we mean.
Our goal was to provide the same functionality in a small, manageable and good-looking, well-structured package that you can self-host. Nothing is more important than owning your data. Privacy is key.
